The Federal Foreign Office of Germany

The development and implementation of a bilingual CD-Rom with contents from German/Arab readings, workshops, poet meetings and various other events. The CD-Rom was conceived and developed for the Arabian Book Fair in Cairo.

Text, audio and video files document the extensive meetings of these two different languages and cultures. In addition, heckerconsult developed an interface for the online version of Lyrikline (www.lyrikline.org), ensuring access to the extensive author selection in the largest Lyrikportal world-wide. Consultation of the Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers e.V. (BDZV) on the topic of data banks and e-CRM.

The BDZV is the umbrella organization of newspaper publishers in Germany. Spread over eleven national associations, the BDZV owns 301 daily newspapers with a total circulation of 17.8 million sold copies, and 14 weekly newspapers with over a million copies sold. Since August of 2000, the BDZV has been headquartered in Berlin.

The BDZV had a variety of decentralized simple database solutions that had been developed in the past ad-hoc and on-demand. The distributed, decentralized addresses and their lack of connection and connectivity to the Internet made a contemporary, modern way of working impossible and tied up resources. A central database such as e-CRM (electronic – customer relationship management) was the solution and eliminated these issues.

Each club and association has different but similar requirements for an e-CRM:

company addresses, personal addresses, members, additional addresses, panels, events, as well as complex address relationships – these were just some of the challenges.

For the implementation of e-CRM as well as the filtering of potential providers, experience and competence in the field of CRM / e-CRM was necessary. Before instillation, the rapid market developments, latest trends and technologies, and the fluctuation of providers could not be measured within the BDZV by any means. The attempt to select appropriate service providers often lead to wrong decisions, wasted time, frayed nerves and depleted budgets. Daimler Real Estate

Consulting, development, and production of the Daimler Real Estate annual brochure.

heckerconsult advises the Daimler Real Estate GmbH, develops the design and produces the Daimler Real Estate portfolio brochure since 2012. In implementing, corporate design templates were used in consultation with the Daimler Real Estate GmbH to develop a layout that depicts all content in a clear and contemporary manner. For the visual identity, photographs of sites and building interiors are extensively combined with data and facts in a subtle design with clear colors and shapes and appealing and high-quality design elements.

Due to the good results and the associated trust in the services of heckerconsult, heckerconsult was able to break away from the Daimler corporate design as early as 2016 and supplement the annual brochure with its own design elements. Masks, shortcuts and templates were developed for simplified input, so that text can be published by choice in various places on the site. This made maintenance easy and manageable, and allowed AMPP employees and external parties the ability to edit, maintain and expand the site with little effort.

 

heckerconsult chose an „Open Source“ solution for the project. Open Source solutions guarantee the use of a broad range of features and applications, regardless of individual service providers – all without having to pay license fees.

 

A cross-media communications and marketing plan promoted awareness of the space, while integrating the concept of communication into various tourism and consumer areas. The project was commissioned by DaimlerChrysler Real Estate (DCI) GmbH and was continued by the Asset Management Potsdamer Platz GmbH for SEB Bank, in cooperation with heckerconsult.

 

The Potsdamer Platz area is one of the largest inner-city private construction projects in Europe. It was chaired by Renzo Piano and designed by an international team of architects. The city quarter comprises 10,000 jobs and the entire space is visited by 70,000 to 100,000  people on a daily basis. The Potsdamer Platz area comprises 19 buildings, 10 streets and two squares, and comprises around 500,000 square meters of gross floor area.

Development of an e-CRM/CMS for the Deutsche Post AG (German Mail)

The target was to improve and expand customer care of the most important B2B key accounts of German Mail via an online CRM. The solution German Mail was looking for was a custom extranet fulfilling three main requirements:

  • a CMS with a sophisticated user rights hierarchy for contract, document and project management
  • Integration of the digital business processes which had proven to be the most important and most frequently used in dealing with key accounts
  • Personalized information channel management with relevant contents for the respective key accountsIn order to increase customer retention and acceptance of the site, several community and communications applications were developed and integrated:
    • Chats, web conferencing, Webmail, SMS Gateway
    • AvantGo interface to PalmPilot and Windows CE

    A contract and document management system made all data and documents relevant for a specific customer relationship (such as enterprise-wide frame contracts and delivery conditions) available via the internet. Precondition for such a complex system was a concept that was state-of-the-art both in technology and useability. To meet these preconditions, critical business processes of all involved parties were thoroughly analysed and transformed into the functional layout of the CRM system. To further ensure website acceptance, several highly individual and specific business processes were integrated – processes which had developed out of the day to day relationship with critical key accounts. As a result, key account managers of German Mail were significantly relieved of many time-consuming routine duties. At the same time business clients experienced a notably higher level of service, leading to a remarkable gain in corporate image of German Mail.

    For every user of this extranet, a detailed profile was created, leading to a fully personalised information flow. This included even third party content feeds and of course internal information exchange. To top it all off, an extensive statistics and feedback evaluation system provides the basis for continuous improvement and cutomer care automation.

Strategic advice for LiteraturWERKstatt Berlin’s new corporate identity, including logo re-launch, website with CMS, screen design and stationery. The LiteraturWERKstatt berlin acts as an organizer and initiator of many different projects. heckerconsult developed a transparent “logo flag” to communicate the brand “LiteraturWERKstatt” concisely without disrupting the design character of individual events and projects. Implementation of the website launch including CMS. A customized CMS made all content of the Panorama Point website expandable and editable. The web application works with an “open-source” solution. The open-source solution ensures operators remain independent of individual service providers and can make use of the wide range of features and applications open-source solutions provide, without having to pay license fees.

Through a simple user interface, staff can adjust and adapt all content to changes in detail. The Open-Source CMS makes the integration of further features like newsletter, shops and similar concepts easy, even at a later date.

With Europe’s fastest elevator, it takes only 20 seconds for you to reach the Panorama Point’s observation deck at Potsdamer Platz. From a height of 300 feet you can see both East and West Berlin.

At no other position in Berlin will you have such a fascinating view over the entire city, as well as a great look at German history. The Panorama Point in the Kollhoff-Tower is located near the former course of the Berlin Wall at Potsdamer Platz. Today, a double row of pavestones marks the former boundary.

heckerconsult provided consultation, planning and design in the field of Change Management for UBS.

A Change Management online seminar was chosen as a measure that would ensure all UBS employees world-wide could become familiar with the first steps of the change management process. heckerconsult analyzed the market of business management simulation games in order to determine which possible systems could be used as a basis for this kind of seminar. Further attention was paid to those that could also serve as a technology platform.

heckerconsult outlined and calculated the possible in-house development of the software by and for UBS. After analyzing the relevant solutions and various company simulation games, several online solutions were tested and evaluated. The result was documented in a documentary, complete with a function matrix and recommendations for which software to use.

In the next phase, the selected simulation game was tested intensively by heckerconsult. Its suitability for the UBS technology environment was examined and the results were documented and presented. When a decision was reached, heckerconsult purchased the simulation game, adapting it and providing it to UBS, ready to use. This included administration, documenting all possible settings and functions over the course of the software’s intended use.
